BREAKING NEWS: Learn how the SECURE Act will impact your practice!

On December 17, 2019, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the SECURE Act, the most sweeping changes the retirement income industry has seen in at least a decade. The SECURE Act is expected to pass the Senate and be signed by the President by Friday, December 20. Some of the most important changes that you need to know about the bill in regard to annuities sales are:

  • 401(k) plans will have greater access to annuities.¹
  • Stretch IRAs will be greatly reduced as an option.²
  • The age for required minimum distributions (RMDs) is going up to 72.²
